Urolithin A 500 mg Capsules

Your gut makes it, or it does not.
Urolithin A is a postbiotic. It is not in the pomegranate itself. It is made from ellagitannins, found in pomegranate, walnuts and some berries, by bacteria in the gut, and people differ in whether they carry those bacteria in useful numbers.
In one independent study of a Brazilian cohort, 32.2 percent of volunteers produced urolithin A predominantly, 52.5 percent produced a different urolithin profile, and 15.3 percent produced almost none. Taking the compound directly removes the question.
All the major peer-reviewed studies on Urolithin A
Six human trials, from first-in-human safety work to four-month randomized studies in middle-aged and older adults. Read together they are mixed rather than conclusive. Measures of muscle endurance and mitochondrial biomarkers improved in several. The harder functional endpoints often did not: six-minute walk distance, peak power output and 3,000 metre time-trial performance were each a primary endpoint that failed to separate from placebo. The most consistent signal is on endurance rather than maximal strength, and none of these studies used this product.

Resistance-trained men | 20 | 1,000 mg | 8 weeks | Isometric strength and reps to failure improved vs placebo. One-rep max did not. |

Published trials used either 500 mg or 1,000 mg of urolithin A a day. A serving of this product is 500 mg, two capsules. If you want to match the 1,000 mg protocols, take four capsules a day instead of two. That is two bottles a month, so buy two bottles at a time and a 30 day supply stays a 30 day supply. Urolithin A has been well tolerated at 1,000 mg a day in published human trials. As with any supplement, talk to your clinician if you take medication or have a medical condition.
Each of these trials tested a branded urolithin A ingredient, in some cases at a higher daily amount than a serving of this product. They tell you about the compound. They do not tell you about this bottle, and we are not claiming their results as ours.
How we evaluate evidenceTwo capsules, once a day, with food
Taken together. Sixty capsules is a thirty-day supply.
Take with food. Follow the directions on the label.
Published trials dosed daily over weeks rather than as needed.
Not for use by anyone under 18, or by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you take medication or have a medical condition, ask a qualified clinician before use.
One ingredient, and a lab with no stake in the answer
No proprietary blend and no filler list padded out to look impressive. The panel names the compound and the amount.
Manufactured in a facility certified to current Good Manufacturing Practice, and third-party tested for identity and potency before a lot ships.
The four claims on this page, in full
Every one of these is a structure and function claim about a normal process. None of them is a promise about how you will feel, and none of them is about treating anything.
Mitochondria are the structures that generate most of the energy your cells use, and they are kept in order by ordinary housekeeping rather than repaired. Urolithin A is studied in relation to mitophagy, the process that selects worn mitochondria and recycles their components.
Cellular energy means ATP, produced inside mitochondria. That is not the same as the alertness a stimulant produces. Supporting the machinery that makes ATP is a different claim from making you feel awake, and it is the first one we are making.
Endurance is the outcome measured most often in urolithin A research, usually as repetitions to failure or time to exhaustion rather than maximal strength. In the independently funded trial above, reps to failure improved against placebo while one-rep max did not.
The housekeeping process urolithin A is studied for appears to slow with age in several tissues, which is why this research skews toward middle-aged and older adults. Supporting normal function is the claim. Reversing aging is not.

What is mitophagy?+
Mitophagy is a normal cellular quality-control process that selectively removes certain mitochondria so their parts can be recycled. Urolithin A is studied for its relationship to this pathway. It is not a claim that a supplement repairs every mitochondrion or reverses aging.
Can I take 1,000 mg a day?+
Yes. Published human trials have used 500 mg and 1,000 mg a day, and 1,000 mg has been well tolerated in those trials. A serving here is 500 mg, so to run 1,000 mg take four capsules a day and order two bottles a month. Talk to your clinician first if you take medication or have a medical condition.
Will I feel more energy?+
Not necessarily. Cellular energy mechanisms do not guarantee a noticeable stimulant-like effect. Urolithin A is not caffeine and you should not expect it to feel like caffeine.
Can I take it with creatine or CoQ10?+
These ingredients have different roles and are sometimes used together, but evidence on the specific combinations is limited. Ask a clinician or pharmacist if you take medication, have a condition, or are unsure.
Is it safe for long-term use?+
Published trials have evaluated specific products over limited study periods. We will not claim indefinite long-term safety. Follow the label and ask a qualified clinician about ongoing use.

What people who finished a bottle said
Every review here comes from a verified order. We do not write them, we do not buy them, and we do not remove the unflattering ones.
We publish every review from a verified purchase. We remove only spam, abuse, off-topic posts, and claims that a supplement treats or prevents a disease, which we are not permitted to publish. Those rules apply to five star reviews exactly as they apply to one star reviews.
The EO VITA promise
EO VITA builds products around the best available research. Everything we sell is made in a GMP certified facility and third-party tested for identity and potency. If you are not satisfied with what you receive, tell us and we will make it right.
Third-party tested
Our Urolithin A is tested by an independent lab for identity and potency. We buy raw material against a specification rather than against a price, and one ingredient per bottle means there is nothing in it to hide behind.
Science-based
Everything we sell is grounded in peer-reviewed human research, and we tell you who funded each trial. Where the evidence is thin we say so, rather than filling the gap with a louder claim.
We take it too
We believe in results. Every product we make is used regularly by the team at EO VITA. If we do not take it ourselves, we do not sell it to you.
Mitophagy is housekeeping, not repair
A normal cellular quality-control process that selectively removes certain mitochondria so their parts can be recycled. Urolithin A is studied for its relationship to this pathway. That is a mechanism, and a mechanism is not a promise about how you will feel.
The longer explanationThree things worth knowing before you buy any of it
Your gut decides, not your diet
Urolithin A is a postbiotic. It is not in the pomegranate. Gut bacteria make it from ellagitannins found in pomegranate, walnuts and some berries, and people differ in whether they carry those bacteria in useful numbers.
A pomegranate extract hands you the precursor and leaves the conversion to your microbiome. Taking the compound directly removes that variable.
Mechanism is not outcome
The research describes a pathway. Mitophagy selects worn mitochondria and recycles them, and urolithin A is studied for its relationship to it.
A compound can participate in a pathway that matters and still not produce a difference you notice. Several of the trials above improved a biomarker and missed the functional endpoint they were built to test. Both things are in the table.
Read the label, not the headline
Check milligrams per serving rather than a purity percentage. A percentage describes the raw powder, not how much of it went into your capsule.
Check the serving size too. Five hundred milligrams per serving of two capsules is a different product from 500 mg per capsule, and the difference is double.
