CoQ10 Ubiquinone Capsules, 200 mg

A cofactor your cells already use
Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble compound your cells use in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, the sequence of reactions that produces ATP. That is a statement about biochemistry, and we are going to keep it that way.
Supplementing reliably raises CoQ10 in the blood, which every pharmacokinetic study shows. Whether that changes how you feel is a separate question, and one the evidence does not answer as loudly as the category implies.
What CoQ10 does, and what it does not
The clearest human finding is on antioxidant status. Beyond that, the popular claims, energy, heart, blood pressure and reversing the decline of aging, are weak or contradicted by the trials that tested them directly. We report both, and none of these trials used this product.
| Study | Population | n | Dose | Length | Primary outcome |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sangsefidi 2020 Eur J Clin Pharmacol |
34 RCTs, ~2,000 adults | ~2,000 | 100-150 mg | Weeks | Lowered malondialdehyde, a marker of lipid peroxidation, and raised total antioxidant capacity. The 100 to 150 mg range performed best. |
| Biopsy trial Randomized, older adults |
Older adults | — | 400 mg | 12 weeks | Blood CoQ10 rose while muscle and mitochondrial CoQ10 and respiratory capacity did not move. |
| Cochrane review Cochrane |
Pooled RCTs | — | Varied | — | No clinically significant effect on blood pressure. |
| Large clinical trial Stopped for futility |
Adults | 600 | 1,200-2,400 mg | — | The largest, best-funded trial in the field was stopped for futility. |
200 mg sits at or above the range where the antioxidant effect appears. The best-known positive trials used 300 mg split three times a day, and divided dosing absorbs better, so take this with a fat-containing meal.
The one trial that took muscle biopsies found blood CoQ10 rose while muscle and mitochondrial CoQ10 and respiratory capacity did not. We do not make the age-reversal claim.
How we evaluate evidenceOne capsule a day, with a meal
One capsule daily, providing 200 mg CoQ10.
CoQ10 is fat-soluble and absorbs better with a meal that contains fat.
Thirty capsules is a 30 day supply.
Talk to a clinician before use if you take warfarin or another anticoagulant, blood pressure or glucose-lowering medication, or are undergoing chemotherapy, pregnant, nursing, or under 18. CoQ10 is structurally similar to vitamin K and has been reported to reduce warfarin's effect.
One ingredient, and the testing we can and cannot show
One compound at a checkable amount, with no proprietary blend.
Made in a facility certified to current Good Manufacturing Practice, and the manufacturer completes third-party testing on the material. What we cannot do yet is hand you the certificate. Those documents belong to the manufacturer and are not released for marketing use, so we are not going to publish one or imply that we have. As individual products earn the volume, we are moving them to our own batch runs, which puts lot-level testing under our control and makes published results possible. When that happens for this product, it will be said here.
What it supports
Two measurable effects and one biochemical role. None of them is a promise about energy, heart health or aging, because the trials that tested those did not support them.
Pooled across 34 randomized trials, CoQ10 lowered a marker of lipid peroxidation and raised total antioxidant capacity. This is the clearest human finding, and it is the one we lead with.
Supplementation reliably raises CoQ10 in the blood. Every pharmacokinetic study shows it. That is a real, measurable effect, and a different claim from feeling different.
CoQ10 is a required part of the electron transport chain, the machinery that makes ATP. We state that as biochemistry. We do not claim a capsule will make you feel more energetic.

Ubiquinone or ubiquinol, which is better?+
The human evidence does not establish that one form outperforms the other for these endpoints. We use ubiquinone, the form in most of the research, and we do not claim superior absorption for either.
Is 200 mg enough?+
For antioxidant status, the 100 to 150 mg range performed best in the pooled trials, so 200 mg is above that threshold. More is not better for this endpoint.
Should I take it for my heart or blood pressure?+
We do not make cardiovascular claims. A Cochrane review found no clinically significant effect on blood pressure, and we are not going to sell you the version of this the internet sells.
Does it help with statin side effects?+
The evidence there is mixed and we do not make that claim. If you take a statin and have symptoms, that is a conversation for your clinician.

What people who finished a bottle said
Every review here comes from a verified order. We do not write them, we do not buy them, and we do not remove the unflattering ones.
We publish every review from a verified purchase. We remove only spam, abuse, off-topic posts, and claims that a supplement treats or prevents a disease, which we are not permitted to publish. Those rules apply to five star reviews exactly as they apply to one star reviews.
The EO VITA promise
EO VITA builds products around the best available research. Everything we sell is made in a GMP certified facility, and the manufacturer completes third-party testing on the material. If you are not satisfied with what you receive, tell us and we will make it right.
Third-party tested material
Every product is made in a GMP certified facility, and the manufacturer completes third-party testing on the material. We are not able to publish those certificates yet, and we say so on the page rather than implying otherwise.
Science-based
Everything we sell is grounded in peer-reviewed human research, and we tell you who funded each trial. Where the evidence is thin or negative, we say so rather than filling the gap with a louder claim.
We take it too
Every product we make is used regularly by the team at EO VITA. If we do not take it ourselves, we do not sell it to you.
Where it sits in the cell
CoQ10 shuttles electrons inside the mitochondrial electron transport chain, one step in how cells make ATP. That is its job in biochemistry. It is why we describe it in those terms rather than as an energy product, and why it sits near the mitochondrial end of the range.
Three things worth knowing before you buy any CoQ10
Antioxidant is the honest claim
The reproducible human finding is on antioxidant markers, not energy or the heart. We lead with what the trials actually show and leave the rest off the label.
Milligrams and timing
200 mg sits above the antioxidant threshold. Divided doses absorb better and it is fat-soluble, so take it with a meal that contains fat.
The age-reversal claim does not hold
The one trial that looked inside muscle found blood levels rose while muscle and mitochondrial CoQ10 did not. We do not sell the age-reversal story.
