Trans-Resveratrol Capsules, 300 mg

Named by what it delivers
Most resveratrol products are labelled by extract weight. A bottle that says 600 mg is usually a 50 percent extract delivering 300 mg of the actual compound. We name this one by the 300 mg it delivers, because the two numbers are not the same and the difference is the point.
Trans-resveratrol is a polyphenol, one of the same family found in red grapes and red wine. This is a botanical extract of Japanese knotweed root, standardized to 50 percent.
One real signal, and a lot of null
The most reproducible human finding is a small improvement in a measure of blood-vessel response. Beyond that, twenty years of trials are largely null on the outcomes people hope for, and the famous longevity story rests on a laboratory artifact. We decided to sell it anyway, honestly.
| Study | Population | n | Dose | Length | Primary outcome |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Endothelial meta 2022 Phytother Res |
17 RCTs | — | Varied | — | Flow-mediated dilation, a measure of vessel response, improved by about 1.4 percentage points. Heterogeneity between studies was high. |
| Sirtuin artifact 2010 Laboratory analysis |
In vitro | — | — | — | The apparent SIRT1 activation by resveratrol was shown to be an artifact of the fluorescent test substrate used in the original experiments. |
| Nine-year cohort Observational |
783 older adults | 783 | Dietary | 9 years | No association with mortality over nine years of follow-up. |
| Metabolic meta-analyses Pooled RCTs |
Healthy adults | — | Varied | — | No effect on blood pressure, cholesterol, or glucose in healthy people in the primary analyses. |
Nearly every trial used 98 to 99 percent pure synthetic trans-resveratrol. This is a botanical extract, so the trial results do not transfer cleanly.
The strongest chronic human evidence was generated at 150 mg a day, and the dose response is not a straight line. One capsule a day sits closer to the studied dose and makes the bottle last two months.
How we evaluate evidenceThe label says twice daily; here is the nuance
The manufacturer's directions are one capsule twice a day, ideally 20 to 30 minutes before a meal.
To sit closer to the studied dose, one capsule a day is a reasonable choice.
Chronic effects in the research came from daily use over weeks to months.
Resveratrol has a documented interaction risk with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs and can affect enzymes that metabolize other medications. Talk to a clinician before use if you take any prescription medication, have a hormone-sensitive condition, are scheduled for surgery, pregnant, nursing, or under 18.
One ingredient, and honest testing
One compound, named by what it delivers.
Made in a facility certified to current Good Manufacturing Practice, and the manufacturer completes third-party testing on the material. What we cannot do yet is hand you the certificate. Those documents belong to the manufacturer and are not released for marketing use, so we are not going to publish one or imply that we have. As individual products earn the volume, we are moving them to our own batch runs, which puts lot-level testing under our control and makes published results possible. When that happens for this product, it will be said here.
What it supports
A polyphenol with one reproducible surrogate finding and a lot of honest limits. None of the longevity, blood-sugar or blood-pressure claims are ours to make.
Trans-resveratrol is a polyphenol, and antioxidant support at the level of the compound is a claim the category can make. It is also where the honest claims mostly end.
Pooled across 17 studies, a measure of how blood vessels respond improved by about 1.4 percentage points. That is a surrogate endpoint with high variability between studies, and we describe it that way.
300 mg of trans-resveratrol per capsule, stated as the compound rather than the extract. It lets you weigh this against the doses used in the research.

Does resveratrol extend lifespan?+
There is no human evidence that it extends lifespan or slows aging, and the sirtuin activation story was shown to be a test-tube artifact. We do not make longevity claims.
Why 300 mg if trials used 150?+
The label directions are twice daily, which is 600 mg a day. The strongest chronic evidence is at 150 mg, so one capsule a day sits closer to the studied dose. We tell you both.
Is knotweed extract as good as the studies?+
Honestly, that is an open question. Nearly every trial used near-pure synthetic trans-resveratrol, while this is a botanical extract. We flag the gap rather than paper over it.
Can I take it with my medication?+
Ask a clinician first. Resveratrol interacts with anticoagulants and affects drug-metabolizing enzymes, so this is not one to start on your own if you take prescriptions.

What people who finished a bottle said
Every review here comes from a verified order. We do not write them, we do not buy them, and we do not remove the unflattering ones.
We publish every review from a verified purchase. We remove only spam, abuse, off-topic posts, and claims that a supplement treats or prevents a disease, which we are not permitted to publish. Those rules apply to five star reviews exactly as they apply to one star reviews.
The EO VITA promise
EO VITA builds products around the best available research. Everything we sell is made in a GMP certified facility, and the manufacturer completes third-party testing on the material. If you are not satisfied with what you receive, tell us and we will make it right.
Third-party tested material
Every product is made in a GMP certified facility, and the manufacturer completes third-party testing on the material. We are not able to publish those certificates yet, and we say so on the page rather than implying otherwise.
Science-based
Everything we sell is grounded in peer-reviewed human research, and we tell you who funded each trial. Where the evidence is thin or negative, we say so rather than filling the gap with a louder claim.
We take it too
Every product we make is used regularly by the team at EO VITA. If we do not take it ourselves, we do not sell it to you.
Where it sits in the range
Resveratrol is the polyphenol in the lineup, studied for vascular and antioxidant endpoints rather than the mitochondrial-quality pathway that Urolithin A sits on. We keep it in the range because the antioxidant support is real, and we keep the claims to what the trials show.
Three things worth knowing before you buy any resveratrol
300 mg, not 600 mg
600 mg is extract weight. The compound you are after is the 300 mg of trans-resveratrol inside it. We label by the number that matters.
One real signal
The reproducible human finding is a small improvement in blood-vessel response, a surrogate measure. Most other outcomes in twenty years of trials are null.
The longevity story is an artifact
The sirtuin activation that launched the resveratrol boom was a test-tube artifact. We sell the polyphenol for what it is, not for the myth.
